Spaix 6 is a complete sales software (CPQ = cost price quote) for computer-aided selection and quotation configuration of centrifugal pumps. . With Spaix 6, you can present your customers with compatible pumps for the desired application in just a few steps. The powerful database structure allows for the display and comparison of countless designs and construction variants. In addition to additional functions, the new version shines above all with its intuitive operating concept and increased program performance. Spaix 6 covers the entire quotation process including pump selection, performance curve adaptation and configuration as well as the complete project management.

Pump Selection and Curve Calculation
In the selection process, the user is presented with a list of suitable pumps in accordance with his or her specifications. In doing so, the program accesses user-specific product data stored in the database program and combines it meaningfully with predefined selection parameters and calculation methods.
When selecting the right pump, users have a number of methods at their disposal.
- Hydraulic selection by duty point
The hydraulic selection allows the dimensioning and configuration of pumps according to specified operating conditions such as area of application, fluid, flow rate and head. Spaix 6 also supports the selection of multiple duty points, even for different fluids. Optionally, an additional module can be used for the sizing of different pumps in parallel circuit. - Product selection browser
The standard package includes the option of direct pump selection via the series description. All models of the series are displayed and the operating behavior can be simulated for a subsequently added operating point.
- QuickSearch via duty point
Spaix 6 offers the possibility of a fast and easy selection by entering the desired duty point directly on the start page. After entry of the Q-H value as well as the mains frequency, the range of possible series is already limited and relevant keywords are provided for further filtering. - Selection by application
This search option can be used to start the pump selection with user-specific data if the duty point is not yet known. The values required to find a suitable pump are determined from the application data known to the user.
- Product search by description or item number (additional module)
If the user knows the product name or the item number, this search variant can also be used.
- Pump exchange to replace an existing pump (additional module)
The Spaix 6 PumpExchanger module enables pump replacement by allocating old pumps to the corresponding current model.
At the end of each search method, all suitable pumps and their key features are listed in a table. Sorting and filtering functions allow the search results to be refined and prepared for individual use. The information section can provide the user with all data and documents related to the marked pump that are necessary for the selection.
Spaix 6 offers extensive calculation routines for working with the performance curves, such as:
- adaptation to the duty point with all common conversion methods,
- special modifications of the performance curves for specific projects,
- consideration of a performance curve adaptation according to required tolerance limits (additional module) as well as
- conversion when pumping high viscosity fluids according to the Hydraulic Institute (HI 9.6.7).
Key Facts:
The pump curves are automatically calculated by the software to match the respective operating conditions.
The program supports all common duty point adjustment methods.
Performance curves for multi-stage pumps can be calculated with devaluation factor.
The preferred operating range of centrifugal pumps according to Hydraulic Institute standards is graphically visualized.
Various methods for efficiency devaluation are available for speed conversion of performance curves based on the affinity laws.
All data in the information section can be coordinated and provided via the data maintenance program.
The calculation of operating and life cycle costs as well as the calculation of the energy efficiency index (EEI) and the minimum efficiency index (MEI) according to the current EU directives are integrated in the program.
Configuration
The configuration of the pump involves the selection of all parameters that affect the price of the unit (sales configurator). Spaix 6 works with a combination of an automatic design of components, based on software-defined rules, and data-driven assignements and limits. This allows a high degree of automation for the selection with a lean database while minimizing errors.
Changes to the configuration that have an influence on the pump characteristics are displayed directly in the performance chart.

The program provides a sales configurator with software predefined layout of typical components.
An add-on module enables efficient selection and sizing of special pump types, such as electronically controlled circulators, booster sets, borehole pumps and turbine pumps.
Automatic material selection can be made based on resistance data and operating limits.
Accessory and Spare Part Selection
The selection of accessories can be performed according to a selected configuration or as a direct selection by description or item number. The user can select a specific part from a list or from a drawing. This allows the quotation documents to be completed not only with additional parts, but also with services or special certificates and documents.

Accessory selection can be done as a stand-alone selection path or as part of the pump selection.
The program performs a precise accessory allocation according to the operating conditions and the selected components.
The program offers a powerful search for accessories within the allocation and in the general catalog.
Optional highlighting of special accessory categories can be selected as an independent selection path.
Spaix 6 offers a powerful platform for searching and selecting spare parts, which can be done independently of the product via the catalog selection or depending on a selected pump or unit. In addition, the user has the option of direct selection by entering the item number or spare part description.
Creation of Offers and Project Calculation
The scope of the project management allows the user to create and provide quotations including detailed data sheets. The integrated price calculation can easily be adapted to the individual needs of each company.
Key Facts:
Spaix works with user group specific price groups, e.g. to easily manage and provide prices for different markets.
An available additional module enables the storage of delivery times.
The data sheets can be designed according to customer requirements using an integrated editor in the data maintenance program.
Generated quotations including all documents can be sent directly by e-mail.

Data Maintenance
The data maintenance module is a versatile software for maintaining the complete database and influencing the functions of the selection program. The data administrator decides which program parts are available to which products and users. The modular concept ensures minimal data redundancy and displays different product structures.
Key Facts:
User management can be organized in detail thanks to the division into users, user groups and teams.
Program functions, price groups and product areas can be managed for different user groups and activated accordingly.
The individual user login with password ensures the storage of personal settings.
An extended user rights system allows precise assignment of rights according to user groups.
To keep the local data of the desktop version aleays up to date, a download function is integrated in Spaix 6.
License Model
Thanks to the multi-platform design of Spaix 6, the pump selection program can be purchased for the web, desktop (Microsoft Windows) and mobile platforms, with all platforms using the same database. Licensing of the application is per platform and takes the form of “license rental” (SaaS).
Software as a Service (SaaS for Web+Mobile) / Subscription Model (for Desktop)
Spaix is available as a service-based subscription model (SaaS or Subscription), which allows the use for a predefined period of time. Here, the customer receives a complete package of software and service, including the rental of all licenses, software maintenance and support as well as hosting of the software solution.
